Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center is a global leader in pediatric clinical trials, which are essential for developing new treatments and therapies. If your child has been diagnosed with cancer or a blood disorder, exploring all treatment options, including those available through clinical trials, is crucial. We are actively involved in over 100 pediatric clinical trials, offering unique opportunities that may not be available elsewhere.

Is a clinical trial the right option for your child?

For many cancer and blood disorder patients, clinical trials provide additional options. Often, clinical trials give children with rare or hard-to-treat conditions access to innovative treatments that may help where traditional options fail.

The first step is to find out if clinical trials are available for your child's condition — and if so, what types of trials. You can talk with your child's doctors about the full set of treatment options and what to expect from a clinical trial. If your child participates in a clinical trial, he or she may opt to stop treatment on the trial at any time and receive standard therapy instead.
