Biography
Glorian Sorensen, PhD, MPH
Gloria Sorensen, PhD, MPH, joined Dana-Farber in 1992 with a joint appointment at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she is Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences Emerita. She directed Dana-Farber’s Center for Community-based Research from 1992 to 2021 and served as the Faculty Vice President for Faculty Development and Director for the Office for Faculty Development from 2007 to 2016. At the Harvard Chan School, she is the Founding Director for the Harvard Center for Work, Health and Wellbeing. She received her MPH in 1980 and her PhD in sociology in 1983 from the University of Minnesota, where she subsequently served as a research fellow with the School of Public Health. She also served as a member of the faculty at the University of Massachusetts Medical School from 1986 to 1992.
