William C. Hahn, MD, PhD
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating and Transformation Officer
William C. Hahn, MD, PhD, is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating and Transformation Officer at Dana-Farber, where he has worked in clinical care and research since 1996. He is also the William Rosenberg Professor of Medicine in Medical Oncology at Dana-Farber and Harvard Medical School, and an Institute Member of the Broad Institute.
Hahn's laboratory pioneered the use of integrated functional genomic approaches to identify and validate cancer targets with tools and models now widely used around the world. His honors include the Wilson S. Stone Memorial Award, Ho-Am Laureate in Medicine, AACR Rosenthal Award, Morse Award, and Hope Funds Award. He has been elected to the American Society of Clinical Investigation, American Association of Physicians, National Academy of Inventors, and National Academy of Medicine. Hahn earned his AB in biochemical sciences, PhD in immunology, and MD from Harvard University. He completed his clinical training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Dana-Farber.
Michael L. Reney
Executive Vice President and Chief Finance and Business Strategy Officer
Michael L. Reney has been Executive Vice President and Chief Finance and Business Strategy Officer for Dana-Farber since 2015. Reney also serves as Assistant Treasurer for Dana-Farber, Inc., Treasurer for The Dana-Farber Trust, and Treasurer for the Dana-Farber Community Cancer Care Network.
Reney started his career as a senior auditor for Deloitte & Touche before joining Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) as an accounting manager. He held roles at Massachusetts General Hospital and Partners Healthcare, then returned to BWH as Controller and Executive Director of Finance before advancing to Senior Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Brigham and Women's Health Care.
Reney is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and Healthcare Roundtable for CFOs, and serves on the boards of the Longwood Collective and Controlled Risk Insurance Company. He earned his BA in accounting from Bentley College and MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Helenemarie Blake, Esq.
Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer
As Dana-Farber's Chief Compliance Officer, Helenmarie Blake, Esq., leads enterprise-wide compliance, ethics, and privacy programs with a focus on integrity, accountability, and regulatory excellence. In this role, Blake focuses on ensuring that Dana-Farber meets the highest standards of ethical conduct and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, thereby supporting the Institute’s mission to provide exceptional patient care and to conduct groundbreaking research. She works collaboratively with clinical, research, and administrative leaders to embed a culture of compliance throughout the Institute.
With over two decades of experience in healthcare, technology, and privacy law, Blake has built and led compliance and privacy programs for complex, high-performing organizations from academic medical centers to global emergency medical service providers. Her approach is rooted in fostering a culture of strategic insight, operational rigor, transparency, and ethical leadership.
Heidi Conway
Senior Vice President, Human Resources, and Chief People Officer
Heidi Conway is Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief People Officer. She joined Dana-Farber in 2021 and brings extensive experience in leading human resources initiatives that support employee development, engagement, mentorship, and well-being, while growing a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Prior to joining the Institute, Conway served as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Johns Hopkins University, where she was integral to strengthening and expanding the HR function. Her contributions included expanding child care benefits and paid parental leave, enhancing the benefits program, and leading a review of retirement and investment offerings to simplify the employee experience. In addition, she strengthened the capabilities of HR talent throughout the department. Conway also held various human resources leadership roles at Harvard University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from New England College and a master’s in administrative studies from Boston College.
Michelle Cox
Senior Vice President, Research Operations
Michelle Cox is Senior Vice President for Research Operations at Dana-Farber. Cox joined Dana-Farber in 1992. Prior to her current role, she served as the Department Administrator for Pediatric Oncology for more than 15 years before transitioning into Research Administration. While there, she held the positions of Senior Director for Shared Resources for Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and Vice President of Research Operations.
Cox earned her undergraduate degree from Assumption College.
Melany Duval
Senior Vice President, Chief Philanthropy Officer
Melany Duval is Senior Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer for Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund.
Prior to joining Dana-Farber in 2019, she served as Vice President of Development at Silicon Valley Community Foundation — the largest community foundation in the world. She also held positions as Senior Associate Dean and Associate Vice President of Health Science Campus Development at the University of Southern California, and at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
Duval earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and business administration from Loyola Marymount University.
Jason M. Johnson, PhD
Senior Vice President, Chief Data and Analytics Officer
Jason M. Johnson, PhD, is Senior Vice President and Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Dana-Farber. Johnson joined the Institute in 2016.
Previously, Johnson was Executive Vice President and Head of Research and Development at PatientsLikeMe, a patient-focused research company in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He also served in various leadership roles in scientific informatics, bioinformatics, and genomics at Merck for many years. He holds AB and BS degrees from Stanford University; a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge in England; and a PhD in biophysics from Harvard University.
Naomi Lenane
Senior Vice President of Information Services and Chief Information Officer
Naomi Lenane is Senior Vice President of Information Services for Dana-Farber. She joined the Institute in 2002, holding multiple roles including technology leader for the Epic electronic health record implementation and for the opening of the Yawkey Center for Cancer Care. In 2017, she was appointed Chief Information Officer, overseeing all software, services, and infrastructure that support Dana-Farber’s clinical and business operations.
Lenane is an active member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and the Society for Information Management (SIM), with a focus on women in technology. She received her undergraduate degree from Randolph College (formerly Randolph-Macon Woman’s College).
Ian Matthew-Clayton
Vice President, Chief Inclusion and Engagement Officer
Ian Matthew-Clayton is Vice President and Chief Inclusion and Engagement Officer at Dana-Farber. Matthew-Clayton joined the Institute in 2022. He is a proven leader in recruiting and supporting multifaceted talent while driving strategic human resources initiatives that support staff throughout their employment lifecycle.
Previously, Matthew-Clayton served as Executive Director for Talent Acquisition and as a human resources leadership team member for Johns Hopkins University. He was also Director of Talent Acquisition and Recruitment at George Washington University and Director of Human Resources Operations at the City College of New York.
Matthew-Clayton earned his BA from the University at Buffalo and MSEd from Fordham University.
Patrick McCormick, MBA
Senior Vice President for Hospital Transformation
In 2024, Patrick McCormick, MBA, joined Dana-Farber as Senior Vice President for Hospital Transformation. In this role, he leads the planning, development, and execution of Dana-Farber’s collaboration with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and the proposed future cancer hospital. McCormick works with leaders from Dana-Farber, BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians to oversee its construction and coordinate clinical, administrative, and care transition systems.
Prior to that, McCormick spent 20 years at the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) Knight Cancer Institute, most recently as Vice President for Oncology Services. While there, he managed clinical cancer program operations and co-managed service line strategy, including collaboration agreements with other health systems and outpatient and inpatient expansion projects.
Originally hailing from Vancouver, Canada, McCormick holds a degree from Simon Fraser University and an MBA from the University of Findlay.
Caroline Powers
Senior Vice President, External Affairs
Caroline Powers is Senior Vice President for External Affairs at Dana-Farber. Powers joined the Institute in 2021.
Powers began her career as a health policy analyst in the Massachusetts State Senate. She served as Senior Advisor for Federal-State Relations to Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick with a focus on health policy, and as Legislative Director in the U.S. House of Representatives for Congressman Stephen F. Lynch. She was also Senior Director for Federal Relations at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN).
Powers has a master’s degree in government from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in American studies from Goucher College, both in Baltimore, Maryland.
Adam Reich
Senior Vice President, Business Strategy
Adam Reich serves as Senior Vice President for Business Strategy and leads Dana-Farber's Business Initiatives and Alliances team. He is responsible for developing and advancing the overall business strategy and providing structure and management of the Institute’s growth priorities. Since joining Dana-Farber in 2018, Reich has applied his deep experience in business development, strategic planning, and market strategies, as well as broader commercialization and growth initiatives.
Previously, Reich was a Director at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Co.) — the strategic advisory arm of PricewaterhouseCoopers — where he advised industry-leading organizations to design and implement new business initiatives and growth strategies. Throughout his career, he has worked with leading academic medical centers, health systems, research institutes, pharma companies, private equities, and corporate clients, including several Fortune 500 companies both domestically and internationally. Reich received his BA in biology from Yeshiva University.
Goldie Taylor
Senior Vice President, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer
Goldie Taylor is the Senior Vice President and Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at Dana-Farber. She joined the Institute in 2022.
Before that, she served as Chief Marketing Officer at Morehouse School of Medicine. Well-known for her on-air and leadership roles at CNN and NBC News, Taylor has also held senior and executive positions in the private and public sectors, including Edelman Public Relations, Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, NBC Universal, and Burrell Communications. She has directed strategic communications and marketing campaigns for organizations including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, McDonald’s, Kraft Foods, The Home Depot, Toyota North America, Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, and the Procter & Gamble family of brands.
Mary Tolikas, PhD, MSc, MBA
Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer
Mary Tolikas, PhD, MSc, MBA, has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer since 2022. She leads the Belfer Office for Dana-Farber Innovations, where she plays a pivotal role in transforming groundbreaking discoveries into real-world impact. She also oversees Binney Street Capital, the Institute’s venture fund.
With more than 20 years of experience establishing and scaling technology-based organizations, Tolikas ensures that discoveries made in Dana-Farber’s laboratories move swiftly into the clinic so new therapies can reach patients faster.
Prior to joining Dana-Farber, Tolikas was CEO of the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering in Geneva, Switzerland. She also serves on advisory boards and committees for organizations including CancerX, BIH Center for Regenerative Therapies in Berlin, and Institut Curie in Paris. Tolikas earned a BEng from the University of Glasgow, an MSc and PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Jennifer Willcox, JD
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Governance Officer
Jennifer Willcox, JD, is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Governance Officer. She joined Dana-Farber in 2022.
Previously, Willcox worked at Yale New Haven Health (YNHH), where she served as Vice President of Legal Services. During her tenure there, she provided corporate, litigation, clinical risk management, patient care regulatory, employment, and labor counsel for a system employing over 25,000 people, including five hospitals and a medical foundation with 1,000 physicians. A leader committed to diversity and health equity, she helped establish the first Medical Legal Partnership at YNHH and led efforts to improve the hiring of diverse attorneys at partner firms. Earlier in her career, she was a partner in the healthcare department of Pullman & Comley where she represented hospitals, academic medical centers, and other health care organizations.
Willcox earned a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a juris doctor from Northeastern University School of Law.
