Biography
Prateek Khanna, MBBS
Dr. Khanna is a medical oncologist in genitourinary oncology with research interests in kidney and prostate cancer. After completing medical school graduation from University of Delhi, India, Dr. Khanna spent 4 years at BIDMC, Boston conducting laboratory based research in kidney cancer where he studied mechanisms of cancer resistance to tyrosine kinase inhibitor treatment in kidney cancer. He subsequently completed internal medicine residency at Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge followed by a fellowship in geriatric medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, New York. He completed his clinical fellowship in hematology-oncology at DFCI at Boston Medical Center – Brighton while pursuing a postdoctoral research fellowship in the Viswanathan laboratory at DFCI. Dr. Khanna focuses on development of novel treatments for rare kidney cancers. He received Kidney Cancer Association’s Trailblazer award in translocation RCC in 2023 as well as the inaugural Dr. Nizar Tannir rare kidney cancer scholar award in 2024.
